With a commitment to training and a recent investment in a new Light Utility Vehicle, the Ngati Haua Mahi Trust recently approached the Ag Drive team to deliver on-site training to 10 of their team at their Morrinsville facility.
Tucked away on a quiet street in Morrinsville, Ngati Haua Mahi Trust cultivates an oasis of native plants and trees bound for projects all over the Waikato.
Dedicated to environmental rehabilitation through the planting of native trees, the Trust has partnered with the Waikato Regional Council in an ongoing restoration project in the Karapiro and Mangaonua catchments.
With 35,500 native trees already planted as part of the project, the trees will help keep waterways clean and provide habitat to the native fish.
With a sizable team, and projects continuing to grow in scale, the Ngati Haua Trust invested in a Light Utility Vehicle (LUV).
Recognising the need for their staff to be properly trained, the Trust approached AG Drive to deliver onsite training for the safe operation of their LUV.
Ngati Haua Trust’s Operations Manager, Keri Thompson, could see the benefits straight away.
“I thoroughly recommend the Ag Drive course. Watching our staff work, I can immediately see the difference the training has made.”

With 10 staff attending the course, the team had high praise when asked how they found the Ag Drive course.
“The tutor was so knowledgeable; the safety tips were of course the most important, but I also found the maintenance and pre-start checks really useful.”
“The tutor made it fun and let us work at our own pace. He was a very friendly guy, and he made the course specific to us and the work we do here, which was great”
